New Haven - Today, Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (Norwalk & Darien) announced his support for Erick Russell for State Treasurer, joining Speaker of the House Matt Ritter and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas, in addition to dozens of other state legislators from every region of the state.

In recent weeks, Russell – the only candidate to be endorsed by former State Treasurers – has received major endorsements from Congressman John Larson, Former Treasurer Denise Nappier, Former Treasurer Joseph Suggs, Former Secretary of State Denise Merrill, West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor, the United Auto Workers Region 9A, UNITE HERE Local 34, and more. Russell is also endorsed by dozens of mayors, including East Hartford Mayor Mike Walsh, Bloomfield Mayor Danielle Wong, Milford Mayor Ben Blake, Middletown Mayor Ben Florsheim, Guilford First Selectman Matt Hooey, Madison First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons, and Naugatuck Mayor Pete Hess.

The momentum is clearly behind the Russell campaign.
